After his concerto debut at the age of fourteen, Kazimierz Brzozowski frequently performed as a soloist with the Lublin Philharmonic Orchestra and he gave series of concerts in Hungary. As a student in Warsaw, he often appeared in recitals at the Academy of Music, Chopin Society, Warsaw Musical Society, National Philharmonic Hall, and at Zelazowa Wola – Chopin’s birthplace. He has made recordings for the Polish Radio and Television, recorded compact discs with music by Bach, Mozart, Chopin, Szymanowski, Liszt and Bartók. His recordings are also included in popular CD sets “Living with the Classics”.
Mr. Brzozowski’s performance highlights include a New York Carnegie Hall recital, performances in Warsaw with the Polish National Radio Orchestra, recorded live for the Public Radio and TV, concerts with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, concerts at the Mozart Festival and the Chopin Festival in Warsaw, recitals for the Chopin Foundation in Florida, and concerts in Japan and Italy.
Kazimierz Brzozowski currently resides in Michigan, where he has frequently performed in solo recitals, chamber ensembles, and as a soloist with symphony orchestras. He performs in his native Poland as well, in recitals and as a soloist with Philharmonic orchestras.
He is a graduate of the Warsaw Chopin Academy of Music (M.M.) and University of Michigan (DMA). He has received awards from the Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw, Ann Arbor Musical Society in Michigan, University of Michigan and Kosciuszko Foundation in New York. He is a multiple prize winner at the Polish National Piano Festival and Chopin Society Competition in Warsaw. Mr. Brzozowski is a Steinway artist. In July 2016 at the 20th International Piano Festival in Nałęczów he was decorated with the Medal of Merit for the Polish Culture awarded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland in recognition of his artistic and pedagogical achievements. At the same time he received Appreciation Awards from the Mayor of the City of Nałęczów and from the Lublin Voivodeship Marshal for his cultural contribution to the city and the region. In 2019 he also received the medal of the “Education Commission” from the Ministry of Education and Science in Poland.
Dr. Brzozowski is the founder and director of the International Music Festival, held annually in Nałęczów, Poland since 1997. This event attracts international high school and college students for intensive study and performances, both solo and with a chamber orchestra. Faculty and guest artists come from Poland, United States, Italy and Japan.

Tomoko Mack and Kaz Brzozowski
Tomoko Mack and Kaz Brzozowski have performed together since they met at the University of Michigan as students of Dr. Louis Nagel. Tomoko was born in Tokyo, Japan and Kaz in Lublin, Poland. They have concertized frequently in Europe, most recently in Italy and Poland where they also direct the International Piano Festival “Summer in Chopin’s Homeland”, now in its 27th year. The festival attracts young, talented pianists from around the world. It is very popular with the local audiences and is covered by the Polish Public TV and Radio. Tomoko and Kaz give concerts together locally in Michigan and Canada.
Tomoko has also a successful career as a duo pianist with her sister Yuki. They have won top prizes at duo piano competitions in Tokyo and Miami, concertized in the U.S.A., Poland , Italy, Sweden, Japan and recorded several CDs.
Kaz has been performing solo since his high school years, starting with his debut concerto performance with Lublin Philharmonic Orchestra and concerts in Hungary and former Yugoslavia. In Poland he concertized also with Świętokrzyska Philharmonic, National Radio Orchestra and others. He has won top prizes at the National Piano Festival in Słupsk and Chopin National Competition and performed at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, Chopin’s home in Żelazowa Wola, Mozart and Chopin festivals in Warsaw etc. Since coming to the U.S.A. he has given concerts in multiple states, Canada, Japan, and back in Poland. He has performed with the DSO, Cadillac, Rochester, Warren, Livonia and other symphony orchestras. He recorded several CDs with music of Bach, Mozart, Chopin, Liszt and Bartok. Both his and Tomoko’s CDs are available on Spotify, CD Baby and Amazon. Tomoko and Kaz are also involved in chamber music performances, frequently with the members of the DSO.
Tomoko studied piano performance at Oakland University with Flavio Varani and received her Master’s degree from the University of Michigan. Kaz received Master’s degree from F. Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw and DMA degree from the University of Michigan. They both received medals and awards from the Poland’s Ministry of Education and Ministry of Culture for their educational and artistic achievements. They are Steinway Artists. Tomoko is the Artistic Director of the Steinway Society. They both are members of the faculty at Wayne State University Department of Music. They frequently are invited to adjudicate competitions and auditions in the U.S.A. and Japan.
